Bouncing Ball

I finally was able to make the ball bounce and stretch and do other stuff I was aiming at to do. Some parts are pretty quick but I'm having a bit of trouble with the graph Editor (mainly trying to find the animation on the editor, I can't find where I can edit it).

Well I'm off to finish rigging my scarecrow and get ready to have him walk on Monday

Final Model - Part 6

Here he is in all of his glory... my pumpkin guy/Scarecrow. It took me a while but I was finally able to finish him up, smoothing took a while to do but all in all I'm happy with the results.

My updated Model.... he now has hands and a leg. Now all I need to do is give him a foot, mirror the geometry, give him rigs and he's done!!

My model finally has an arm. At this point he will most likely at least be fully modeled by the end of this week; Will have hands, legs, feet, etc.

As for the clothes... I will need to discuss that with Alex later today.

Final Model - Part 2

I know it's not much. But I'm working on it still as of now. I'm having some trouble with the mirror geometry. Mainly because I keep getting gaps. I'll constantly look at the model from different screen and axis making sure it's aligned with the axis and all but It always still looks weird

PLaying with Light

This is work I did for Programming for Animators. After playing with the Instancer, I decided to play with the spot and Area light. I'll probably go back to re-work this a bit

Assingment was to play with the light and change the season. The first one was really just an experiment just trying to get a handle on the lighting.

Final Model - Part 1

I've been following a tutorial on how to make heads and bodies. Originally I was gonna make my last pumpkin the head but I wanted to challenge myself and start from scratch and make him much better. Here's my model so far.

Next will probably be the nose, then mouth, body and finally give him the textures/colors to be completed

My Pumpkin revisited

So good news... not only did I make the stalk but I've gotten better at applying textures!

I'm still having one little problem though. I think the UV map is covering the pumpkin texture I put on the pumpkin. So I don't know how to make them show in front.

Well I'm off to start on my final project

Pumpkin Model

Here is my pumpkin for 3D modeling class. I honestly struggled hard with getting the textures to do what I wanted them to do, had Michael help me with the UV Mapping. Hopefully I'll learn what exactly went wrong tomorrow in class with my textures.

Nurbs or Polys?

I'm hoping someone sees this post. I'm working on the pumpkin and I wanted to ask a curious question;

Is modeling with Nurbs the best to go with or polygons? I know nurbs are mostly best for organic stuff but I'm still curious.

Updated Crane's Design

Well it took me a long while but I got to update my crane design for the big class project. Yes, the crane works and yes I did the camera works, i'm just right now having a bit trouble with the video, so I tried to take at least screen shots.

I added more details to the design. Any feedback will be great before Monday night.

Week 5 - Crane project




























It took me a while but here is my updated version of the crane. So I added the hole and some detail to the tusks (thank you Alex) and I later decided to give my window a balcony. Originally I wasn't gonna give it one but then I took another look at the huge file from class and thought a balcony would be good. Hopefully by next class I'll learn to make this crane even better

More Details in Crane

So I wanted the building with the crane to have some features of an elephant. I'll most likely give it more detail in the coming time.

Yes the Crane does move AND works but for some reason playblast won't work for me. I know how to do it but the video just disappears... I can't find it no matter where I look.

The 3D Crane

So there are people who live in these buildings where it seems they can only leave through the window and we needed to design a crane.

So I thought of this idea where the crane would be somehow connected to their building and they could use it to get groceries and such.
